Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis)

Organically grown Marshmallow root harvested in its second year. Dried and chopped. Marshmallow is a mucilaginous herb that aids the bowels, mucous membranes, lungs and kidneys. It soothes irritated and inflamed tissues and reduces swelling. Works best as a decoction.
